Frightening stat shows how badly Stamford Bridge has fallen this season

This season started out on a highly positive note for Chelsea supporters. Frank Lampard was back to lead the troops, and he was going to give a number of the clubs young stars a chance to break into the senior team.

It was the dawn of a new era. All started well and Lampard’s side started to play some very nice football, controlling games and finishing chances.

Then it all slipped rapidly downhill and Lampard’s squad is struggling with fatigue and serious lack of attacking imagination as well as vulnerability at the back. The board failed to deliver in January when Lampard publicly asked for attacking reinforcements.

However, to play devils advocate, Chelsea sit in 4th and it is still in their own hands to reach Champions League qualification, this is as much as any Chelsea fan could have realistically asked for at the start of the season.

But, what does make it so frightening this season is the home record, and as pointed out below, it really is a horrific sight to see.

Stamford Bridge is no longer a fortress, it is struggling to even stay standing…
