Exclusive: How Hudson-Odoi has been playing through pain of fresh injury and expected return

Chelsea suffered another home defeat in the Premier League last night at the hands of Manchester United.

The Blues were aggrieved by some obvious errors from VAR failing to send off Harry Maguire for kicking out with his studs, and then ruling out a perfectly fair goal from Kurt Zouma in the second half.

There was a surprise notable absence from the squad as Callum Hudson-Odoi was forced to watch on from the sidelines.

Sources have told Chelsea-News that Hudson-Odoi has been playing through the pain of a fresh injury during the last few matches.

He has a small issue with his hamstring, and the club doctors have even considered using painkiller injections to help him through games.

There is a slight chance that he will be fit enough to play against Tottenham on Saturday, despite Frank Lampard all but ruling him out for that as well.

The Hudson-Odoi camp are hopeful that he will return for the Bayern Munich Champions league match next week.
