“We have excellent relationships” – Serie A club confirm Chelsea can buy-back inform winger

Chelsea will hopefully already be working on securing some of their top transfer targets for the summer, especially after adding no new players in January.

One player who might have a chance of having another shot at making it at Chelsea is their former winger Jeremie Boga, who is in some fine form this season for his new club Sassuolo.

Chelsea reportedly inserted an option to buy Boga back for a fee believed to be around 15 million euros, should they wish to.

And the Sassuolo CEO has confirmed that Chelsea do indeed have an option to buy him back in June.

As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Giovanni Carnevalli has spoken about the good relationship the club already have with Chelsea and he is bracing himself for The Blues to use that buyback clause.

Carnevalli said:

“Chelsea can redeem him in June.

“We have excellent relationships with them, we met them with them before Christmas also for other operations, because we like it as we did with Barcelona, to have a collaborative relationship.

“They can take him back, but we can also do an operation together, we can take him back, there is total openness.”

Boga left Chelsea in search of regular first team football, so it is unclear whether he would want to return and undoubtedly compete with a number of other talents for a regular spot.
