The eight players who look likely to leave Chelsea this summer

Chelsea were banned from making signings last summer, and so were reluctant to let too many players go, beyond the long-agreed departure of Eden Hazard.

In January, again, we signed nobody, and didn’t let anyone go, beyond sending a few players out on loan.

That all means a ton of deadwood has accumulated, and this summer will likely see a lot of outgoings are well as incoming players.

Joe Doyle of Football.London today speculates that EIGHT players could leave Stamford Bridge, and it certainly could be approaching that figure.

Mario Pasalic, Danny Drinkwater, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Davide Zappacosta and Matt Miazga have been on loan, and the club will surely accept any reasonable big for them as they have no real future at Stamford Bridge.

Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri and Michy Batshuayi are all in the first team squad right now, but it’s easy to see them all being moved on this summer as they’ve failed to make the grade under Lampard this season.

You might even be able to add more names to that – would anyone be that shocked it Jorginho joined Juventus this summer?
