€140m a “fair price” for Jadon Sancho – if he keeps producing goals and assists

Jadon Sancho is one of football’s hottest prospects, and certainly looks set to be the blockbuster move of this summer – assuming Leo Messi settles down again at Barcelona.

His destination is as yet unknown, along with his price tag, although “England” and “massive” seem the obvious responses.

German football expert Kevin Hatchard has quotes picked up by the Daily Express where he reckons that the winger fancies the Premier League, and to Chelsea in particular.

He says the English top flight is “a possibility” and that Sancho has a “soft spot” for Chelsea.

When it comes to a price tag, he suggests something “in the region of €140m” is a “fair price”.

If he lives up to the potential he’s currently showing there would be no doubting that. Currently into double figures on goals and assists for the season, if he could keep that up for a few years in the Premier League that fee would look like a bargain.

Certainly things are lining up nicely for us – we need a player in his position, we have the money to make a splash, and he wants a Premier League move by the sound of things.

Could we be about to see Chelsea’s biggest transfer coup since Eden Hazard?
