Dortmund ‘to revisit’ Jadon Sancho situation with Chelsea this summer

Chelsea did make an approach to sign Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho during the January transfer window but he wasn’t available now, according to The Athletic.

Sancho is touted as one of The Blues main transfer targets for the summer, but they also tried for him last month.

The Bundesliga side said they were not selling now but they did agree with the club that they will revisit the situation in the summer, says the same publication.

The 19-year old England international will be a sought-after talent though, especially if he performs well in the upcoming European Championships with the national side this summer.

Chelsea will also have to offer big bucks and it will likely take them breaking their own transfer record of £71.6 million to land him, which they paid for Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao in 2018 (Sky Sports).

But at the least it looks like Dortmund are happy to receive an approach from Frank Lampard’s team this summer, so the decision will rest with the player.
