Chelsea will be offered €25m for struggling defender in the summer

Emerson Palmieri looked set for a big season under Frank Lampard, but it just hasn’t worked out.

After arriving in January under Antonio Conte and spending a season and a half working his way back to fitness and finding his form, he started the season really brightly.

He had fully ousted Marcos Alonso as Frank Lampard’s number one man at left back, and put in some impressive performances early doors.

Things have tailed off since then however, and he’s been replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta in the starting lineup. It opens the door for a long rumoured return to Italy, and SportWitness cite reports in Italy that  Juventus will offer us €25m for him.

We’d think that the club would be very tempted to accept that. His contract only has two years to run come the summer, and we will want to get as much money for him as possible assuming he doesn’t get back in the team.
