Chelsea reportedly make player plus cash offer for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper

Frank Lampard has chosen to start veteran backup goalkeeper Willy Caballero ahead of club record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga in the last three matches, clearly suggesting that he continues to be unhappy with the form of the Spanish international.

Not only that, but rumours of potential replacements coming in at the end of the season continue to be rife, really putting doubts on Kepa’s future Chelsea career.

The latest claim from El Chiringuito TV is that Chelsea have made an offer to Atletico Madrid of 30 million euros plus Kepa, in exchange for their keeper Jan Oblak.

Oblak is widely considered as one of the best goalkeepers in the game currently, but he has recently been linked with moves away from La Liga.

It would be an ambitious move by Chelsea if there is any truth to this rumour, but it does seem that a goalkeeper is going to be high on Lampard’s list of priorities this summer.
