Chelsea midfielder “wouldn’t say no” to transfer as agent continues to push him towards exit

Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos was quoted a few days ago flirting with the idea of the midfielder leaving Chelsea this summer.

Now Santos has given an exclusive interview with TuttoJuve where he’s repeated almost the same lines verbatim, magnifying the sense he’s pushing for a move now.

“Anything can happen in the transfer market. I said ‘why not?’ [in the previous quotes] to Juventus because Jorginho has a three-year contract with Chelsea… his priority is to remain there, but we could also evaluate leaving the club in July.”

The fact that Maurizio Sarri, the man who brought him to Chelsea, has left is clearly an issue, and while Frank Lampard has relied on the Italy international a lot, he’s hardly settling the league alight, and not many fans would be unhappy to see him moved on to Juve for a decent sum.

While the summer is still a long way off, the momentum for this is building, and the more Santos speaks to the media the more the sense grows that both the player and his representative would be very happy with a switch to Turin.

If Sarri wants him there, Chelsea are happy to sell and the player wants to go, there’s no reason to think it won’t happen.
