Chelsea could lose more youth products as two take trials elsewhere today

Chelsea have faced a bizarre situation this season where a number of their youth products look to be deciding to go elsewhere, rather than sign new contracts at the club.

Tariq Lamptey obviously being the most high profile case, who joined Brighton on deadline day last week.

And then confirmation also arrived of Clinton Mola joining Stuttgart over a Chelsea stay, and yesterday it was also confirmed that Jacob Maddox had joined Southampton under-23s on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Two more highly rated youngsters are also weighing up their options and are today taking part in trail under-23 matches, according to reliable Chelsea Youth Twitter account.

Right back Marcel Lavinier is trialling for Crystal Palace under-23s against Bristol City this afternoon, and Jordan Aina, brother of Ola, is doing the same for Swansea under-23s.

It’s a growing trend at the club as these youngsters seek regular football elsewhere.
