Christian Pulisic had fallen quite badly out of favour with Frank Lampard over the Christmas period, barely featuring in the first team for a decent spell.
It was expected then that he would make up part of the second string that took on Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round in January. When he wasn’t in that lineup either, it was revealed by Lampard that the winger had an injury.
It didn’t sound that serious, but the US international has since not been able to play even once for the Blues.
More recently the manager gave a press conference update, as noted by Football.London, where he explained that he hoped to have him Pulisic back after this winter break, and the next few days will be telling.
If we see him out there at full power we can hope he will be good to go for Monday night’s game with Manchester United.
