Chelsea fans left in the dark over Hudson-Odoi mystery

In today’s press conference ahead of the weekend’s game against Tottenham, Frank Lampard reeled off a list of names of players who had injury updates.

There were so many lost count, and eventually named Tammy Abraham as the man he’d forgotten But he didn’t name Callum Hudson-Odoi either, and none of the journalists remembered to pin him down on it.

We’re sure he just forgot, but now nobody knows whether the winger will be able to play tomorrow, having missed Monday night’s match against Manchester United. It’s a big question mark too. We’ve looked blunt up front without him.

It sounds like he only missed a couple of days with this problem, and it’s probably a week now since he picked it up. Whether that’s too soon for him we will find out at 11.30 tomorrow.

If he’s out, we can probably expect Pedro to start again, unless Lampard is planning something radical. It’s certainly going to be an interesting team sheet.
