Understandably most people remember Branislav Ivanovic’s goal against Benfica in extra time in the Europa League final more than any other, but it’s easy to forget he scored absolutely tons of important goals in big games.
Chelsea posted up one on Twitter this week – his effort on his left foot into the bottom corner at the Etihad in 2014. It looked like we’d handed Liverpool the title that season – but luckily we still had the legendary “slip” game against them still to come a couple of months later.
Blues fans piled into the replies to commemorate a lesser remembered Brana gem, with one reminiscing that it was “our best win that season” – considering that was the same year as the 6-0 against Arsenal, that’s pretty good going.
You can see a selection of the comments from Chelsea fans in the replies reminiscing about a big win embedded below:

Brana Ivanovic hasn't yet been replaced at Chelsea. That's why we're 30 points behind Liverpool !

Back when the defence was rock solid and Chelsea were getting consistent 1 or 2-0 wins. Little Boring but very effective jose era
