Zaha to Chelsea gains traction as three more sources report interest, one suggests talks

Yesterday I wrote an article suggesting towards the possibility of Chelsea doing a deal with Crystal Palace that would see their target Michy Batshuayi become part of a swap deal for Wilfried Zaha, due to neither club wanting to pay each players high valuation.

Yesterday saw traction gain in Chelsea’s potential move for Zaha with three pretty good sources claiming that Chelsea have solid interest in him.

The first was Goal, who confirmed that Chelsea are interested in Wilfried Zaha, and state that he has signed up with super-agent Federico Pastorello in order to engineer an escape route out of Crystal Palace.

Then two Italian reporters who have had proven close links with Chelsea before in successfully reporting news from the club.

The famous Alfredo Pedulla confirmed Chelsea have an interest in Zaha by saying ‘it’s possible’…

Then finally, probably the most significant and the first to really suggest the potential of a swap deal, Nicolo Schira, who believes that talks are ongoing between the two with Chelsea attempting to lower the fee, and could offer Batshauyi as a counterpart.

I’ve said from day one that I can see this deal as being quite likely…
