Chelsea have just beaten Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, and there was one notable absence.
Marc Guehi had been superb in two Carabao Cup ties for us, and it seemed likely he would get at least a chance off the bench today, if not a start.
Instead Frank Lampard went with two of his senior defenders, meaning Guehi has missed another chance for first team action.
Twitter insider CareFree Youth has indicted on Twitter that a loan move for the defender for the rest of the season is now a “strong possibility”, given our cup games are out of the way and there are just 10 development squad games left in the season.

He doesn’t know everything, but he does get most things right, and we think he’s spot on here. Guehi looks totally ready for Championship football at the very least, and it would be a massive waste to not give him the chance to play more at senior level.
