Last night saw a few developments in a potential transfer movement involving Chelsea, and once again social media was involved.
Chelsea had previously been linked with a move for Inter striker Gabriel Barbosa aka Gabigol.
Yesterday those links grew off the back of a fresh report via reliable Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte. The report, via their extra segment as translated by The Metro, states that Inter Milan have confirmed to them that Chelsea have made an official approach for Gabigol.
Around the same time that this news was surfacing, Gabigol, who is currently on loan with Brazilian side Flamengo, put out a tweet that basically translates to ‘Thank you for your love.’
Obrigado pelo carinho e pelo o amor de vocês! ❤️

Obviously with the rumours circulating, one would assume that a reason for writing this could be a goodbye to Flamengo supporters.
But it would be wise to wait and see what transpires here, Globo also say that West Ham have made an approach. One to keep a close eye on for sure.
