Scan for Chelsea striker but club remain optimistic about injury

Chelsea had another night to forget last night as they failed to finish off the ten men of Arsenal and could only manage a 2-2 draw, twice throwing away the lead.

David Luiz was sent off early doors on his Stamford Bridge return giving away a penalty whilst he was at it, which was duly converted by Jorginho.

However, The Blues once again lacked that killer instinct, a sentence that is becoming painfully far too familiar this season.

Something that made it worse was an injury to striker Tammy Abraham late on in the game after he collided with the advertising boards.

Abraham struggled on for the rest of the match but was visibly hurt when attempting to defend Hector Bellerin’s late equaliser.

Chelsea fans feared the worst initially, but the signs are positive that it is nothing too serious.

According to The Evening Standard, Abraham will have a precautionary scan but the club remain optimistic that the injury is not serious. They also state that he left the stadium unaided and able to walk without a protective boot.
