Respected Chelsea Journalist delivers his Wilfried Zaha to Chelsea verdict

Will he? Wont he? Are the reports even true? Do Chelsea even want to sign Wilfried Zaha?

These are all speculations simmering around in the footballing world right now during transfer season, and there seems to be nothing overly conclusive.

One thing that does seem certain is that Chelsea do have an interest in signing Zaha, as do many other clubs. And Zaha again, seems dead set on leaving Crystal Palace.

Having hired super agent Pini Zahavi whom of which has close links with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, and the fact that Chelsea could consider offering Michy Batshuayi as part of any deal – you’d suspect that Zaha joining Chelsea this window seems the most likely outcome still.

Football London‘s Chelsea correspondent Oliver Harbord believes the only stumbling block of Zaha to Chelsea is the fee.

The Journalist has been doing a Q&A this afternoon and had this to say on the situation..

“The issue with Wilf Zaha signing is just over fee more than anything else. Crystal Palace want £80million for their star man, and they don’t appear to be budging.

“Zaha wants to make his move to a big club, while his representatives are pushing hard for him to get the move that he’s after.

“But Chelsea will have to pay big for him, and Lampard might want other targets instead of the Ivory Coast international.”
