Chelsea have reached a breakthrough and are now in advanced stages of talks for a new contract for right back Reece James, according to Football Insider.
As reported, talks have progressed between James’s representatives and the club. As a result, they expect James to put pen to paper for a new 5-year deal immediately.
This is great news for Chelsea and their supporters, James is one of the hottest prospects at the club and he is already proving his quality, and is starting to oust captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
James has been at the club since a 7-year old and has come up through their world famous academy alongside the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham.
