Could Chelsea be about to hijack this deal at the last minute?
Well, Portuguese publication O Jogo, as cited by Sport Witness, believe that Chelsea are still keen on signing the 22-year old Brazilian midfielder, as well as Arsenal.
This would be some development if any club was to move in now, but they would need to act fast to pip in ahead of Lyon, which looks close to be doing.
