PSG sporting director and former player Leonardo has revealed tonight that striker Edinson Cavani has asked to leave the club.
It has long been suspected and rumoured that this was the case, now we have it confirmed. Italian transfer insider Fabrizio Romano carried the full quotes in his Tweet tonight:

It seems like Atletico Madrid are in pole position right now, with Arsenal also mentioned by name, but considering Chelsea are interested in a striker, it’s almost certain they are monitoring the situation at the very least.
The fact that Cavani wants out and that is now public knowledge lowers any asking price significantly. Is there a chance that our recent toothless performances persuade the club to go big on an a list reinforcement?
We will find out in the next few days. We would have some serious competition from Madrid, who feel they are still in their title race if they acquire a good striker.
