Chelsea face Newcastle at St James’ Park in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
N’Golo Kante pulled out of last week’s game at the last minute with a minor injury problem, but the midfielder is back this week for another start, and we may well need him.
Ross Barkley is the man to miss out, meaning that Mateo Kovacic is left on the bench once again. It’s hard to see how he misses out, but having won comfortably last week it makes sense to keep things as they are.
All that means that Andreas Christensen plays at the back too. His start last week was a surprise, but again, given we won and kept a clean sheet, he’s earned his right to keep playing. Let’s hope he puts in another good showing today. He will be up against it at a raucous St James’ Park.
