Lampard’s “agitation” at lack of transfers is “obvious” says journalist after latest interview

The transfer window is not yet closed, but for Chelsea it might as well be.

Frank Lampard has just given his press conference ahead of the game with Leicester tomorrow, and inevitably the first question he was asked about was potential signings.

He brushed the idea off, and while he insisted it’s just how football is sometimes, especially in January, some of the journalists present noted a lot of frustration in the way he whipped through the press conference at some pace.

James Olley of the Evening Standard was there, and he pointed out that Lampard’s “agitation at Chelsea failing to sign anyone was  pretty obvious.” We can’t blame the manager, honestly.

If Olley thinks that Frank’s brusque manner was making his frustration obvious he should head over to Chelsea Twitter, where people are being decidedly less subtle in airing their grievances.

There’s still a few hours to go however, and you just never know…
