Chelsea fans have been left disappointed this afternoon as Frank Lampard all but confirms the club won’t be completing any new signings during today’s transfer window deadline.
Lampard stated that Chelsea’s window is now 95% closed in his lunchtime press conference.
So in a time where Blues fans could use a little pick me up and diverted attentions elsewhere, fan favourite Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been pictured enjoying yet another full training session with the first team squad after his long term achilles injury.
This is great news, and he will surely be ready to start playing some under-23 matches soon in order to get his match fitness ready for his senior return.
🔵 Ruben Loftus-Cheek in full training today – the road to recovery is progressing nicely, we should definitely see him before the end of the season.
Tammy trained as normal today, a late fitness test tomorrow will determine whether his ankle is okay to play. pic.twitter.com/mRy26NMIrK
