Former Blue names the player who Chelsea can sign to replace Eden Hazard

Chelsea Manager Frank Lampard cut a frustrated figure yesterday speaking after his sides narrow 2-1 victory over Championship side Hull City.

Lampard spoke about Chelsea not being able to replace Eden Hazard, and his frustrations of the lack of quality options he now has in his attack.

It was a clear but sensible message to the Chelsea board, that the current squad is dented without Hazard, and needs reinforcements. Something I think all Chelsea fans would agree with.

There has been a lot of talk about the potential players that could come in to replace Hazard, some also say that he is irreplaceable, which is probably is.

However, Chelsea need more flair, creativity, and players with the ability to make something happen from absolutely nothing.

One player who could be the man to do this, is Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jack Grealish.

And former Chelsea player Alan Hudson believes he is the one that Chelsea should target to fill the Hazard void.

Hudson spoke to Caught Offside, he said:

“I am his biggest fan. Grealish is the most outstanding attacking midfield player in the game at this moment.

“A player who goes past people and scores goals. The bottom line is Chelsea haven’t got anyone since (Eden) Hazard left who has the fans on the edge of their seats. Jack Grealish would be that man.”
