How Christensen could move to Milan this January despite regular starts for Lampard

Andreas Christensen is a target for AC Milan, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

David Amoyal, a reasonably reliable ITK, especially when it comes to Italian based rumours, translated the claims from his boss’ site:

It doesn’t really sound likely right now. He’s our fourth choice centre back, sure. But we don’t want to continue the season with only three.

However we do have a very good relationship with the Italian team when it comes to transfers. Would it be ridiculous to think that if Frank Lampard does get the centre back he wants this January, Christensen could be moved on at the same time?

Even a six month loan to Milan, where he would likely play a lot and improve his value for a potential summer sale, would be a good move.

He’s a good player and we shouldn’t let him go easily. But if Frank has decided he prefers Fikayo Tomori and young Marc Guehi more, it might be sensible to let him go.
