Chelsea ‘weigh up’ selling goalkeeper and already ‘working on’ replacement

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has come under some scrutiny this season as many have began questioning whether he is good enough to be the clubs number one keeper.

The Spaniard has made a number of errors in matches this season and he has generally looked fluttery coming for crosses and commanding his box.

This has become a concern for the club, and manager Frank Lampard is considering selling the 25-year old this summer and replacing him, according to Bleacher Report’s Football Insider Dean Jones.

He claims that he has been told that Chelsea are as far as looking at potential replacements to come in, and has mentioned Burnley and England goalkeeper Nick Pope as one who is being scouted.

Is Pope really the calibre of goalkeeper that Chelsea should/would be chasing? I am not so sure about that one.

It is pretty clear though that Lampard does have some doubts over Kepa, and he probably has the next 5 months to gain his trust.
