Chelsea scouts reportedly in Italy yesterday to watch midfielder

All appears very quiet right now on the Chelsea front, with the only potential transfer deal being spoken about is Olivier Giroud’s alleged move to Inter.

There is yet to be any signs of any imminent first team arrivals at Stamford Bridge as debates begin to surface whether they will be bringing in any players at all this window.

However, according to a report from Tuttomercato Web, Chelsea did have scouts in Italy yesterday to watch Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara.

The 22-year old Guinea international played in his sides 2-1 defeat to Juventus and as well as Chelsea, he was also being watched by Tottenham scouts, according to the same report.

It seems highly unlikely that any move for a midfielder from Chelsea will happen during this month, with other areas being talked about strengthening as a more important task.

But it could be an area they look to add to in the summer.
