Chelsea reportedly submit an offer for Croatian Under-21 international

I mean, we are all expecting many more random names thrown into the mix during the rest of this month, that is nothing new.

However, today there really is a random name being thrown in the mix in the shape of Croatian Under-21 international Ivan Lepinjica from Rijeka, according to Croatian outlet Tportal, as translated by Sport Witness.

They claim that Chelsea have offered between €3m to €4m, which is below the clubs valuation.

The report states that the Rijeka hierarchy won’t allow Lepinjica to leave for offers under €5m and they have have reportedly informed the interested parties about this.

And there are many interested parties they say, suggesting that he could be some talent.

It’s claimed that as well as Chelsea there are several other clubs interested in his signature, including Leeds United, West Brom, Juventus, Udinese, Atalanta, Sampdoria and Fiorentina.
Lepinjica is a defensive midfielder that can also play as a centre back.
