English wonderkid Jude Bellingham has been getting regular games for Birmingham in the Championship, and people are really starting to take notice.
How could they not? A 16 year old English kid playing every week and playing well, in a tough and physical division? It’s going to grab anyone’s attention.
Now of course the transfer links to bigger clubs come. The Daily Star today say that Manchester United are keen – of course they are – but that Arsenal and Chelsea are getting in to gear to join them in the race for the youngster’s signature.
We would expect every top English club to make a bid this summer, to be honest, and maybe even some foreign ones. The youngster will have his choice of where to go, and we just have to try and offer the most enticing package.
Being in the Champions League will be vital. Time to pull out fingers out in the league, before it’s too late.
