Chelsea and their players pay tribute to an absolute Sporting icon

The Sporting world has been in mourning since yesterday after the devastating and heartbreaking news that Basketball legend Kobe Bryant had passed away in a Helicopter crash, as reported by Sky News.

He and his teenage daughter were among nine people on board who lost their lives in the tragedy that has absolutely smacked the world in the face.

Bryant was a name that everyone knew, even if you didn’t have the faintest idea about Basketball, which says absolutely everything you need to know about what an icon he is.

Millions of people have been paying their tributes to the 41-year old former LA Lakers star, including some Chelsea players who also clearly adored him as well as a nice touch from the official Chelsea Twitter account, who have shared some images of when Bryant visited Stamford Bridge.

It has been one of those occasions where literally everything else just stops and becomes unimportant, and you can see the pain in some of these tweets..
