Chelsea now under pressure as super-club emerges as rival for Zaha

Bayern Munich are now interested in Wilfried Zaha, according to today’s copy of the Daily Mirror.

The tabloid report that the winger’s new agent Pini Zahavi has wasted no time in pushing his client’s name to the biggest clubs, including in this case the German giants.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with the Crystal Palace winger, but it seems like they now have some major competition for his signature. A January move to Germany is apparently unlikely, given Palace want big money and Bayern are reluctant to pay up until the summer, but it still risks majorly disrupting our plans.

If Palace want to keep him until the end of the season and Bayern are happy to wait, that could scupper our chances of getting him now – or at least mean that his current club have the leverage necessary to demand a whole load of extra cash out of us.
