Chelsea may have to stop Boga getting the move of his dreams

Jeremie Boga is not a Chelsea player at the moment, but he was for a long time.

After coming out of our youth teams, he got a brief chance for Chelsea before getting loaned out to Italy. He eventually joined Sassuolo permanently in the summer, but we have a buyback clause in his deal, and for that reason we retain an interest in him here at Chelsea News.

After a strong start to the season he’s been linked with a move to other big teams including Napoli, and quotes from the player’s agent – also his brother – confirm that Boga prefers the Italian team.

“Napoli is a great club like Juve, Roma, Inter and Milan. Boga likes Napoli, it is an important club and is part of Boga’s dreams… Napoli is an important club like Juventus,” the quotes on CalcioNapoli read.

He’s not messing around there then. But Chelsea could potentially still stick a spanner in the works. Is there a chance we exercise our buy-back clause and bring the winger back to us, only to flip him and sell him for a profit?

It might well torpedo his dreams, but we would also be crazy to leave money on the table.
