Aston Villa keen on Chelsea outcast who needs to salvage career

Chelsea have two strikers they’re looking to get off their books this January, and interest looks to be growing in at least one of them.

Michy Batshuayi has barely played this season, bar a few desperate sub attempts off the bench and some lackluster starts in the cups.

It’s no surprise that we’re keen to cash in, and according to SportWitness today, it’s a fellow Premier League team that wants the Belgian.

Aston Villa spent big this summer, including a hefty sum on target man Wesley. But the injury the forward picked up yesterday has left them at panic stations, and the team that had Tammy Abraham last year now apparently are keen to bring in Batshuayi on loan with an option to buy.

That suits us just fine. He’s had plenty of chances under different managers, and none has really fancied him. Time to cash in and try to upgrade.
