Before they faced off on the pitch at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, old mates Mason Mount and Declan Rice went head to head on Sky Sports in the preview of the game, trading great stories about old times in the Chelsea academy.
In the end, there was only one winner on the pitch. Rice was everywhere, sweeping up attacks and constantly pressuring Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.
Mount on the other hand wasn’t able to influence the game much from the middle of the park, and his usual creativity wasn’t evident either.
We’re sure they’re still friends after all that thought – this video shows a deep friendship which will take more than a game to break.
