The Blues REALLY needed a win here today, and they’ve put themselves in a great position to get one after two first half goals.

It was a bizarre and obvious penalty, which took an inexplicably long time to award from VAR. Pablo Gazzaniga steamed into Alonso as he ran through, and the ref had no choice. Willian, who smashed the first goal in, added a second easily from the penalty spot.
