Tomori still “50%” for Chelsea’s Bournemouth clash

Fikayo Tomori could be set to miss another game, as a hip problem continues to bother him.

The Blues take on Bournemouth tomorrow, with a lot of uncertainty at the back. Antonio Rudiger returned in midweek, but may not be fit to play twice in a few days. Tomori has a hip problem, and didn’t feature in that game.

Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma could be our starting pair against the Cherries – but it wouldn’t be totally shocking to see Tomori and Rudiger either, or any combination of the 4. It’s all a little up in the air, which doesn’t help our defensive frailty at all.

Football.London cite Premier Injuries, who claim Tomori has got a 50% chance of starting. That seems about accurate – we’ve not heard it’s a serious issue at all, but he’s now missed two games in a row, and there’s no real indication his status has changed.

We await further updates from Frank Lampard’s press conference, which is coming up at 1.30pm today.
