Report: Inter match Chelsea’s requested €25 million loan to buy Alonso deal

Much has been said recently about Inter’s reported pursuit of Chelsea left back Marcos Alonso.

There have been many reports coming out largely from Italy with the details behind the Serie A sides supposed chase of the Spaniard.

Antonio Conte allegedly wants a reunion with his former Chelsea wing back, and according to the latest report from Il Giornale, as translated by SempreInter, Inter have now matched Chelsea’s 25 million euro asking price for a loan deal with an option to buy.

They state that originally Inter had offered €6 million for the loan with a €15 million obligation to buy, but they have now matched the €25 million price requested by Chelsea.

Alonso had been mainly out of favour for Chelsea under Frank Lampard this season, but looked like he may have started to get used a bit more when Lampard switched to a three at the back the last couple of games.

But I’d still expect Alonso to pursue an exit next month.
