Frank Lampard really should be considering starting Chritian Pulisic in the number ten position against Aston Villa on Wednesday night, and moving forward.
Pulisic has played this position before in his career, and even on Saturday when he went into a more central role, he looks like he has the capabilities to bring a new dimension, and a new threat for Chelsea’s attack.
On this occasion he was in a false nine, and this is also another option. But if Tammy Abraham is back and fit, then I’d like to see Pulisic just behind him in the ten, with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willian on either wings.
This also brings Hudson-Odoi back in to the starting line up, which in my view is needed to give us another creative outlet and attacking threat.
But most of all, Pulisic through the middle is something that I think we are sleeping on, a weapon in our attack that could end up being one of our biggest threats going forward.
