“He is the one who is capable of turning the game on its head” – Top Chelsea target praised for game-changing ability

It’s that time of year where football comes thick and fast, and if it’s not Chelsea in action,  it’s their rivals, loan players, transfer targets or those competing with them for Champions League place.

In last night’s Monday Night Football it was Crystal Palace against Brighton, meaning one of our most heavily linked targets – Wilf Zaha – was in action for the Eagles.

He scored a late equaliser, a great strike as he surged into the box and switched it onto his left foot before rocketing home.

Speaking after the game in quotes picked up by the Evening Standard, his teammate Scott Dann identified exactly why he’s in demand from top teams like the Blues:

“He is the one who is capable of turning the game on its head — and that is what he did last night.

“That is why he is so important to us. It changed the game. From then on, it looked like we could maybe have gone on and nicked it, which is strange to say because we didn’t play well at all.”

He absolutely is a game winner, even on a night like last night where he wasn’t at his best for long periods.

We could have done with him in our own game, against Bournemouth on Saturday.
