Olivier Giroud offered to AC Milan as January fire sale begins

Chelsea have offered striker Olivier Giroud to AC Milan, according to CalcioMercato.

The Italian transfer news site reports that the target man, previously linked with city rivals Inter, has been proposed as an option to the Rossoneri too.

It’s a move that Chelsea fans will be a lot more comfortable with after last weekend, to be honest. The France striker finally got the start he’s been waiting for since September, and he barely touched the ball.

It wasn’t entirely his fault, but he’s just not suited to Frank Lampard’s style of football it seems. He’s barely playing, not contributing much when he does, and it’s no surprise to hear he’s being offered around Europe for a January exit.

Whether anyone will bite on the offer is another matter. We wouldn’t be asking for much money, but even then his wages and age will put off plenty of possible suitors.

Milan, with their love for fading stars, might just be a good bet.
