“Next weekend is the big one” – Harry Kane builds pressure for monster Spurs-Chelsea game

Harry Kane has been speaking to the media this week ahead of Tottenham’s potentially season defining game against Chelsea on Sunday.

The arrival of Jose Mourinho at our hated rivals makes this a spicy game, as does the fact that he’s ushered in a turnaround in form that’s seen his new team rise up the table to just behind us. Beat us at White Hart Lane and they will be above us, and in the driving seat to take one of the the coveted Champions League places up for grabs.

Kane’s words show that everyone’s aware just how massive this game is:

“We have the momentum at the moment. But next weekend is the big one. If we can win that and push into the top four, then we have fixtures over the Christmas period that we feel we can definitely win,” the striker said.

“Even before Chelsea’s defeat on Saturday, we said it’s two important games. We knew how much it meant to win at Wolves and with Chelsea losing the day before it meant even more.”

It’s a huge game, and on current form we’re not too confident. But anything is possible in a game like this, and we’ve certainly got the talent to cause an upset, no matter current form.
