“I’ve heard he’s a Chelsea fan” – Chelsea Coach ‘would love to see’ club sign Ben Chilwell

One of the best left back’s that the Premier League, the world, and most definitely Chelsea have ever seen has had his say on Chelsea’s potential move for Leicester City left back Ben Chilwell.

His words will excite Chelsea fans, but absolutely frustrate Leicester fans!

But Ashley Cole has always been a controversial figure, and has always said it exactly how it is.

He was hated at Arsenal when he made the switch to Stamford Bridge as a player, but he didn’t care.

Cole bleeds blue, and now after playing out the final year of his career under Frank Lampard at Derby, he is now hoping to emulate him coaching wise at Chelsea, currently coaching in the youth setup and hoping to work his way up the ranks.

Chelsea’s interest in Chilwell is now widely known, with the latest strong report coming from The Guardian.

And the rumours have excited Cole as much as Blues fans!

As reported by The Daily Mail, Cole said:

“There’s always going to be a question mark if you’re going to a bigger club.

“He (Chilwell) is doing really well in terms of how he’s playing at Leicester. He’s enjoying the way Brendan (Rodgers) plays and the system. He’s got that licence to attack.

“I would love to see him here. I think he’s a quality player. I’ve heard he’s a Chelsea fan.

“But it depends on whether he wants to leave Leicester or if they’ll sell him. But in terms of quality, he’s got that.

“If you buy a player you’ve got another three here you need to keep happy or sell. It’s a big decision but quality wise for sure he is good enough.

“When he’s played for England he’s played well. He got three assists last month. He’s shown quality both on the ball and off it. You can tell he likes to defend.”
