“I don’t want to come and see that” – Boring play criticised by Chelsea manager

Chelsea have just put in a rotten performance against Bournemouth in a 1-0 home defeat, and Frank Lampard has faced the media afterwards to try and explain why his side are on such a dire run.

The atmosphere was really flat at Stamford Bridge today, and it’s no surprise when you consider what was being served up by the players on the pitch.

The defenders passed between themselves and occasionally pinged long diagonals out of play. The midfield provided no connection to the forwards, who themselves failed to create anything when given the ball.

Lampard’s comments, as collected by Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com, showed exactly how the manager felt:

As he says, “I don’t want to come and see that,” and nor do the fans, who were left disappointed by another dire showing from their team.

There is a lot of work to be done, and if he wants to get his fans back onside, he will have to start with some exciting attacking play at home.
