Chelsea striker ‘has made quick recovery’, ‘could be involved’ against Aston Villa

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is hopeful of featuring against his former team mates this Wednesday evening as The Blues face Aston Villa, according to The Evening Standard.

Abraham was on loan there last season and helped the club get back in to the Premier League.

However, he returned to Chelsea in the summer and has headed the Frank Lampard youth revolution at the club.

Abraham is the clubs current top goalscorer and he was sorely missed at the weekend when his side went down 1-0 at home to West Ham.

The England international was forced to watch on from the sidelines after sustaining some bruising to his hip against Valencia last week.

But The Standard report that he has made a quick recovery from the injury, and could be involved on Wednesday evening.

This will be pleasing to hear for him, for Lampard, and for the Chelsea supporters who know Abraham’s importance this season.
