Chelsea could get cut-price Zaha deal with potential part player swap

Chelsea’s interest in Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has become common knowledge now within the footballing world.

And whilst Chelsea fans continue to make their judgements and have their debates regarding signing Zaha, the rumours continue to heat up.

The Guardian are the latest reliable UK outlet to report Chelsea’s pursuit of the 27-year old former Manchester United player.

They cite an interest from Palace in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, who is likely to leave in January.

This could act as a makeweight to bring Zaha’s very high £80 million asking price down, as I cannot see for one second Chelsea would pay that fee for him, which The Guardian believe Palace are adamant of getting for him.

There is also Michy Batshuayi, who spent time on loan with Palace of course and would likely jump at a chance to go play regular football there. He could also be used as a part player swap deal.
