Chelsea could fund Chilwell purchase by selling to Sarri

Maurizio Sarri is long gone from Chelsea after one stormy season at the club, but his legacy remains.

Not only in the form of the players he signed, but also in the players he wants to bring with him to Italy. That’s always the way when a manager moves club, and we’re not surprised to see stories along those lines now.

Sky Sports report that the former Blues boss wants to bring some of his former charges to the Juventus stadium with him, including Emerson Palmieri.

Emerson is apparently a favourite of the Italian coach, who does have Alex Sandro available to pick at the moment. It doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade.

We’ve had our own links with left backs, with Ben Chilwell apparently on our radar. A lot of fans have lost patience with Emerson after his latest performances, and Frank Lampard seems to be a little frustrated too.

Could selling him to raise funds for a Chilwell move actually be a super smart idea?
