Barcelona a long shot for ageing Pedro

Pedro looks set to depart Chelsea this summer, or even as soon as in January, with his contract set to expire in July.

The Spanish winger has had a good run at Stamford Bridge, and as recently as a year ago was a key player under Maurizio Sarri.

Sadly the last year saw his form decline significantly, and he’s found himself out in the cold. That’s why it’s surprising to see him linked with a return to Barcelona, his former club.

The winger was basically booted from the Nou Camp because he wasn’t up to scratch anymore, and they were looking to move on.

He’s since put in some solid service for us, but the idea that now as a 32 year old he’s going to return to Catalonia and be able to contribute is… generous.

We’ve got no doubt that someone will pick him up, and plenty of Premier League or La Liga teams will be likely to have an interest. But Barcelona? It seems a long shot.
