There have been quite a few surprise links with potential players departing the club soon, with a number of Chelsea players careers seemingly coming close to an end.
A fresh link from the reliable Telegraph, states that Aston Villa are interested in signing Pedro from Chelsea in January.
They believe that Villa will offer him a chance of regular football after he has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
They would not have to pay Chelsea much at all, with the Spaniard’s contract running out in the summer.
He will be free to start negotiating with his next club in January unless he signs a new deal at Chelsea, which is massively unlikely now.
But if Villa offer Chelsea a bit of cash, I’m sure they’d rather that than lose him on a free in the summer.
Although Pedro has always indicted his desire to finish his career in Spain, hence this move would be a surprise if it did transpire.
