He’s done it! Mateo Kovacic has scored his first ever Chelsea goal and what a time to score it!
His team were completely under the cosh and had just gone 1-0 down to Valencia in the Champions League.
Just when his team needed him to step up, Kovacic drives in a shot that slides in beautifully past the stranded Valencia goalkeeper.

It’s been a tough evening so far for The Blues and they are struggling to get a stronghold on the match, but at least this gives them a chance to go in at the break on level terms.
